A decade and a half in youth work has made it abundantly clear that children in general are at risk. The level of dysfunction in society seems to have grown and not decreased despite our modern constitution and advances in technology. Basic life-skills are sorely lacking in this non-relationship age. The youth are most at risk, and we all know that prevention is better than cure.

Against this background, Wild Stuff Adventures has developed an adventure camping curriculum that endeavors to address some of these issues in an exciting and relevant way. Adventure is used to facilitate the experiential learning of life-skills. Camp Wild has added value to the schools by integrating education, conservation, leadership development and teambuilding with the life-skills development program. The curricula for the above programs have been created through years of youth involvement and research. At the end of the day the young person must have had a great time. The return business is testimony to this fact.

The vision of Camp Wild is through this medium to make a meaningful impact in the life of the youth of Cape Town.
